 need help with connection string

Hi i am trying to connect my pages to my database but its not working.  My file looks like this:

<%

// FileName="Connection_odbc_conn_dsn.htm"

// Type="ADO"

// DesigntimeType="ADO"

// HTTP="false"

// Catalog=""

// Schema=""

var MM_connisport_STRING = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=D:/clients/isport.ie/data/isport_store.mdb;UID=user;PWD=password;"

 %>

is this correct and if so why is it still not working, it’s driving me crazy.

Do you have any idea why it isn't working for me, i've never done this before and i am going off a template and putting in my own info.  Should i be opening up the connection somewhere.
